The Capital Police issued a provisional protection order for Diana Șoșoacă’s husband, at the senator’s request, according to a press release. Silvestru Șoșoacă’s name is not explicitly mentioned in the statement, but official sources told G4Media that the man in question is her husband.

  • UPDATE Diana Șoșoacă claimed in front of journalists that her husband also hit her daughter: “He also hit my daughter, she is very scared, she also comes in front of the building. He threatened me that he would do it like that and lock me up in a lunatic asylum. If I didn’t have evidence, I wouldn’t have obtained a temporary protection order.”

The issuance of the protection order came after the extremist senator reported to the police that her husband had assaulted her “emotionally” but also physically.

The police show that following the notification, they drew up the risk assessment form, in which context a provisional protection order was issued.

Also, Diana Șoșoacă expressed her agreement regarding the installation of an electronic monitoring bracelet on the man, according to the quoted statement.

The police also opened a criminal case for the crime of domestic violence, under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the 2nd District Court.

Because the man did not show up at the department’s headquarters for the installation of the monitoring system, the police started looking for him.

The police officers also reported ex officio the crime of violating a measure ordered by the provisional protection order, previously issued.
