According to an information sent by the Harghita County Gendarmerie Inspectorate (IJJ) and the Harghita County Police Inspectorate (IPJ), the gendarmes from the Lacul Roşu Mountain Post were requested to intervene, on Sunday, at a local bar, where, after consumed several alcoholic beverages, a man wanted to leave without paying the bill.
“Arriving at the scene, our colleagues managed to convince him to pay, but in a short time he called the single emergency number 112 to complain that two people forbid him to leave the premises. Moreover, he also stated that he is under the influence of alcoholic beverages and that he does not know where he is. As soon as he left the restaurant, the man got behind the wheel of the car and left on the streets of the locality”, said the cited sources.
The law enforcement officers went after him and managed to stop him in a short time, but because the man refused to get out of the car, the police officers had to break the side window of the vehicle.
“The 38-year-old man, from Constanţa county, refused, at the request of the policemen who arrived on the scene from Gheorgheni Municipality, to get out of the car and submit to the breathalyzer test, blocking the car doors. Because his refusal was categorical, the police resorted to breaking the side window. As soon as he was taken out of the car, he was handcuffed, and later he was transported to the headquarters of the Gheorgheni Emergency Reception Unit for the collection of biological samples”, states the information sent by IJJ and IPJ Harghita.
The man will be criminally investigated, and the investigation in this case continues.
