A long-awaited news is brought to us this Monday evening, April 29, even by the mayor of Pitesti, Cristian Gentea! In the meeting on Tuesday, April 30, the Government will approve the Financing Memorandum of the new “Nicolae Dobrin” football stadium! And, in the same meeting, the Financing Memorandum for the new “Gheorghe Hagi” stadium in Constanta will be approved.

The mayor of Pitesti kept his word! At the inauguration of Argeş Mall on April 25, the chief mayor said exactly that: that on Tuesday, April 30, the Government will approve this memorandum. Practically, this means that the Executive gives the go ahead to finance this investment of approximately 100 million euros, of which the local contribution is only 1%!
In a few days, more precisely after Easter, the design-execution contract will be signed with the winner of the auction, and Cristian Gentea – as he informed us – will personally go to Bucharest to bring the builder so that he can already start the preparation of the construction site, during which the design is finalized.
The duration for the design is seven months, but no more than two months are needed, because the project is already done.
The new stadium – as specified in the Memorandum – aims to build a modern stadium, which will meet the requirements established by UEFA regulations.
