Vlad Pop, the candidate of the Save Romania Union for the position of mayor of Valea Vinului commune, is one of the youngest politicians registered in the electoral race from June 9, 2024. He also came with a concrete plan of measures that he intends to take during next. Incidentally, deputy Radu Panait – the president of the Satu Mare County Organization of USR – guarantees for Vlad Pop.

Below is the statement of the candidate Vlad Pop: “I feel honored to run for mayor of Valea Vinului commune. The commune needs a new breath, fresh ideas, new plans for development and progress, and I consider that I am the right mayor to make Valea Vinului a top commune in Satu Mare County.

In Valea Vinului, like many other communities, we have serious challenges that we face on a daily basis. Damaged roads, lack of modern infrastructure, lack of jobs and lack of basic amenities affect the quality of life of our residents. Yesterday’s event, launching my candidacy, was just the beginning. I had the opportunity to present my projects and vision for the future of Valea-Vinului commune.

If the projects we have presented are implemented, our commune would look completely different. We have proposed an ambitious plan to address these major issues:

1. Modernization and development of infrastructure: I want to modernize roads, replace damaged bridges and pavements, and develop sidewalks and accesses throughout the commune. Consolidating and modernizing the rainwater collection network are priorities to prevent flooding and ensure the safety of residents.
2. Expanding the public transport network: We will work to implement regular passenger transport routes in all villages belonging to the commune, thus facilitating the movement of citizens.
3. Effective use of existing buildings: I propose to transform the building of the former information center into a center for the needy elderly in the commune, offering them a safe and comfortable place.
   4. Local economic development: We will attract investors and create jobs in the commune, thus supporting economic growth and reducing the migration of young people in search of better opportunities.
4. Setting up leisure and recreation spaces: We will set up recreation areas and football arenas for the young people of the commune, offering them alternatives for spending free time and promoting an active and healthy lifestyle.
5. Expansion of medical and social services: We will set up medical offices in all localities in the commune and ensure access to health services for all residents, regardless of age or location.
6. Use of renewable energy: We will implement a plan to install a public lighting network with solar panels throughout the commune, thus reducing electricity costs and helping to protect the environment.

It’s a lot of work, but together, we can make a real difference and make our township a better place for everyone. With a mayor like me, and a team of determined and dedicated councilors, our commune would become an example of sustainable development and local prosperity. I am sure that, on June 9, together, we will make history by winning the elections!”
