With nine changes in the first 11 compared to the previous game, FC Bihor Oradea only drew, on Tuesday evening, in stage number 7 of the play-off of the 8th Series of the 3rd League.

Considering that he played on Friday, and the derby with Poli Timisoara is scheduled for the following Saturday, coach Florin Farcaş made the decision to rest several players from the base team in the match with Phoenix Buziaş and to give credit to those who so far they have evolved less. Thus, compared to the match with CSC Peciu Nou on Good Friday, only Ricardo Farcaş and Sergiu Jurj were starters this time as well.

In goal was Radu Bob, and in defense junior Denis Cociuba started on the right side. Also, George Cherman was started for the first time this season, and in the second half he made his appearance, also for the first time this competitive year in an official game, the central defender Andrei Gal, who comes after the intervention surgical. However, the team from Oradea dominated the game at the Iuliu Bodola Stadium, scored a goal, missed a penalty, but conceded a goal for the first time after five stages. As a result, the final score was 1-1.

The goal scorer Sergiu Jurj was the one who opened the scoring in the 39th minute, after he also missed a penalty in the 35th minute. In the second half, the team from Buziaş managed to restore equality, after a serious mistake in the Bihor defense in the 54th minute , when Remus Bobocea scored.

In the end, the people from Oradea ran after the winning goal, they created dangerous opportunities, but they didn’t have the lucidity to score the goal that would bring them all three points.

The movie game

The game started with a few shots sent by both teams. First, in the 3rd minute, Sergiu Ciocan sent from inside the box, on foot, but kicked the goalkeeper out.

In the next minute, the guests replied with two shots. Sergiu Românu sent from 20 meters over the goal, and then, Darius Savu shot from 22 meters, past the bar.

In the 7th minute, it was the turn of the Oradeans to shoot at the goal, taking advantage of the wet lawn, following the rain before the dispute. Bogdan Vasile tried to surprise the goalkeeper from 25 meters, but the goalkeeper of Buziaş managed to retain. Two minutes later, Andrei Moga tried his luck with a shot from 22 meters, but missed the goal.

The first more dangerous phase was recorded in the 19th minute, when Sergiu Ciocan sent a good shot from 16 meters, to the long corner, but the goalkeeper took it off the bar into the corner.

The attacks from Oradea continued, and in the 26th minute, Sergiu Jurj was found in the box, he sent a shot on foot, but again it was rejected by goalkeeper David Flonta.

In the 32nd minute, another great opportunity was recorded for FC Bihor. Sergiu Ciocan perfectly executed a free kick from 23 meters, but again took the visitors’ goalkeeper out of the box.

The 35th minute came, when Loren Ioviţă crossed from the left, the defender Alexandru Nagy made a handball in the box, and the Cluj referee Narcis Bodocan dictated a penalty. Sergiu Jurj executed, but the goalkeeper from Timișoara stood out again, repelling in front. The ball reached Sergiu Jurj again, but he sent it over the goal.

Sergiu Jurj would take revenge for missing the penalty just a few minutes later, because in the 39th minute he caught a good shot, on foot, from outside the box, at the long corner and goalkeeper David Flonta was defeated.

Nothing happened until the break, so at the halfway point of the match, FC Bihor was leading 1-0.

In the 46th minute, coach Florin Farcaş changed both Ricardo Farcaş and Sergiu Jurj, as well as Sergiu Ciocan, so that in the second half the players from Oradea used a more improvised formula. However, two minutes after the restart, the red-blues showed that they can be very dangerous. Bogdan Vasile crossed from the right, and Luca Tincău restarted with a header from six meters, just over the bar.

Contrary to the course of the game, in the 54th minute, the guests sent a commitment ball on the left side, the Bihorean defense was overcome, Remus Bobocea took advantage of the free space, took over and beat the goalkeeper Radu Bob.

Lack of lucidity in front of goal

After scoring the goal, the team from Phoenix Buziaş got stuck in defense and tried to counterattack when the game allowed them.

The students of coach Florin Farcaş started to have a series of dangerous actions. Thus, in the 56th minute, Mihai Gîdea executed a free kick from 18 meters, but rejected the goalkeeper from under the crossbar. Then, two minutes later, the same Gîdea executed another free kick. He crossed dangerously six meters from the goal, from where Sergiu Bactăr resumed by the goal.

In the 62nd minute, Luca Tincău sent a good shot from the edge of the large square, but a little past the bar. After another three minutes, George Cherman shot from inside the box, but the ball was deflected into the corner.

The closer the end of the game got, the more Oradea’s attacks intensified. In the 87th minute, Ioviţă crossed from the left, and Andrei Gal resumed with his header near the bar.

The end of the match brought two great opportunities for the people of Oradea. In the 89th minute, Gîdea crossed from the right, and Andrei Moga resumed with a header from six meters, but he kicked the goalkeeper out. Also, in the 90th minute, following a cross from the right, Marius Hosu resumed with a header from seven meters, but over the goal.

After a few minutes of overtime, the game ended in a tie with the score 1-1, a score that did not satisfy the coach Florin Farcaş at the end, but he had the opportunity to see several players at work in this duel who in the earlier stages evolved less or not at all.

Only one team attacked

“The game went in one direction. There was only one team that attacked, we spent almost the whole match in the opposing half of the field. We controlled, we took the actions a lot in the lanes, we wanted to open them up a lot, because they came and defended permanently with eight players somewhere on 25 meters. We missed a lot, from different angles and positions, we didn’t manage to score and thus the result was a draw. I still wanted to win, although I made changes in the team, because I gave the opportunity to those who evolved less or not at all this year. To be honest, I was expecting much more from them, but this was the history of this game, that the result was equal”, declared the head coach of FC Bihor, Florin Farcaş, at the end of the game.
