During the entire period of the May 1 mini-holiday and the Easter holidays, the Bacău County Police Inspectorate officers carried out additional activities to prevent anti-social acts and to maintain public order and peace.

Police crews intervened these days to solve 653 reported incidents, of which 575 through the single national emergency system 112.

In the period 01-06 May this year, for deviations from the legal norms, the policemen of Bacău county applied 1,622 contraventional sanctions, in the amount of 560,000 lei.

The police officers of the Bacău County Police Inspectorate were notified of 89 crimes and caught 13 criminals in the act. They also detained 164 driving licenses in order to suspend the exercise of the right to drive vehicles on public roads, of which 66 for deviations from the legal speed limit and 19 for driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol. At the same time, 48 registration certificates were withdrawn.

The activities were carried out in an integrated system, together with the other institutions with attributions in ensuring public order and tranquility.
