In the period May 1-6, 2024, the firefighters from Neamț were called to intervene in fires that affected homes and outbuildings in four municipalities, causing significant damage and requiring rapid interventions by the firefighters.
On May 3, at 1:11 p.m., a fire broke out in Dragomirești commune, affecting the ceiling of a household annex and threatening to spread to the entire building. “On 03.05.2024, at 1:11 p.m., the firefighters were notified about the occurrence of a fire in a household in the locality of Vad, in the Dragomirești commune.
Forces and means of intervention from the Piatra-Neamț Fire Department and SVSU Dragomirești were assigned to the place of request.
When the firemen arrived, the fire was on the ceiling of a household annex (summer kitchen), with the possibility of spreading to the entire building and the home.
The intervention forces acted to locate and extinguish the fire, as a result of which 15 square meters of the wooden ceiling of the household annex burned and the roof was damaged on an area of approximately 15 square meters.

On the same day, at 17:20, another fire was reported in Borlești commune. The fire, which affected wooden elements of a house, was extinguished by the crews from Roznov and SVSU Borlești.
“On May 3, 2024, at 5:20 p.m., the firefighters were notified of a fire in a house in Borlești commune.
At the place of the request, forces and means of intervention were assigned from the Roznov Work Point and SVSU Borlești.
When the firemen arrived, the fire manifested itself with smoldering combustion in the wooden construction elements embedded in the wall and ceiling and with an open flame in the carpentry elements in the composition of the roof of the house.
The intervention forces acted to locate and extinguish the fire, which burned 2 square meters of a wall, 2 square meters of a board screen and 2.5 square meters of the roof of the house.

On May 5, at 00:34, the flames engulfed a house in Bozieni commune, with an intense manifestation in a room and on the roof. The prompt intervention of the firefighters from Roman, Bozieni and Oniceni was crucial to stop the fire, which destroyed the roof and the furniture in a room.
“On 05.05.2024, at 00:34, the firefighters were informed about the occurrence of a fire at a house located in the town of Cuci in the commune of Bozieni.
Forces and means of intervention from the Roman Fire Department, SVSU Bozieni and SVSU Oniceni were assigned to the scene of the request.
When the first intervention crews arrived, the fire was widespread in a room and on the roof of the house.
The intervention forces acted to locate and extinguish the fire, as a result of which they burned the roof of the house on an area of approximately 120 square meters, furniture and household items inside a room.

The last major incident happened on May 6, in the commune of Ștefan cel Mare. Here, a fire broke out in a household in the town of Sochi, seriously affecting a house and its annex. Two people self-evacuated, and an 89-year-old woman suffered a panic attack.

Forces and means of intervention from the Piatra-Neamț Fire Department and SVSU Ștefan cel Mare were assigned to the scene of the request.
The two people who were in the home self-evacuated until the intervention forces arrived.
An 89-year-old woman suffered a panic attack. She received medical care at the scene of the event from the SMURD crew, refusing transport to the hospital.
