On Saturday, citizens are expected to get rid of electrical and electronic equipment waste
Gimbăşeni residents who have electrical or electronic devices at home that are broken or that they no longer need can get rid of them at the end of this week. Thus, on Saturday, May 11, the Intercommunity Development Association ISO Mediu (ADI ISO Mediu) Braşov, together with the ECOTIC Organization and the Ghimbav City Hall, organizes a campaign to collect waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), the collection point being in the center of the city, in the place called by the locals “la nuc” (the playground next to the fortified Church). This point will work between 10.00 and 17.00. Also, bulky waste will be picked up from home, based on telephone orders, which can be made at the number 0742400404.
As was the case with all the collection campaigns for this category of waste, participants can sign up for a raffle, with the prizes consisting of tool kits, hair dryers and clippers. The drawing of the winners will take place on May 11, at 5:00 p.m., at the collection point.
Also, 20 lei are offered for bulky electrical waste (for washing machines, refrigerators and refrigeration units) or 10 lei for other waste weighing more than 20 kg.
