Lucian Mândruță heats up the spirits on Facebook, criticizing the journalists who report on the bringing of the “holy light” from Jerusalem for not verifying the information. In addition to those who gave him the reply, there is also the television personality Dan Negru.

Lucian Mândruță’s post has gathered over 200 comments.

“You are a journalist. You are sent to make an arrival news light by plane from Jerusalem. And you do it without applying the rigors of your job: verifying the authenticity of three sources, the credibility of witnesses, etc.

Why does all concern about truth value disappear? Just because you’re afraid of the audience’s reaction if you contradicted her? Just because the issuer of the news is a force in society?

Just because you want ratings numbers and give people news they like, whether it’s true or not?” writes the journalist on Facebook.

Mândruță questions the journalistic quality of those who report on the arrival of the light by plane from Jerusalem.

And then, can you still call yourself a journalist the rest of the year?

In other words: is it our duty to tell people the unpopular truth?

Or are we the servants who bring to the table what the customer ordered?”

Black Dan: “Come with me”

Among the hundreds of comments, many of them critical of Mândruță, was that of television personality Dan Negru:·

Come with me to Jerusalem, when you can. Everyone there doesn’t believe in magic miracles. They’re not going to see a Copperfield show. It’s not about that. Come there sometime…”

Lucian Mândruță was not impressed by Negru’s invitation: “I was. Even in Bethlehem. I apologize for not leaving my critical spirit at home.”

Dan Negru was not forgiven by a netizen for a viral post he made from the US. Răzvan claimed: “Dan Negru, I was in Israel, and there you can see best how commercial Christianity is. And I also wanted to tell you something… If you go to Alba Iulia from the center to the citadel, there’s a good chance you’ll see a couple of Teslas. Have you seen a single one in America? I think you lied in that viral video”.

What do Romanians think?

Lucian conveyed to Mândruță: “And you think if they verify the news, whatever it is, we the public know if it’s true or not? Why are you debating the topic with the Holy Light and not the political ones where the parties pay big money to say what they want to say on TV and radio?”

Stefan asked him: “Should journalists also check the news of the birth of Jesus? Of course, but there is no solid source.”

Lorincz commented: “You know the answer very well. Until education remains at the current level, all is lost. If people trust named people and institutions (army, church), not democratically elected, woe is this society. I said.”

Nicu concluded: “As in any job, there are people with grace, who turn any job into art, and others who wait for payday… Differences will always exist, so do readers / followers… I prefer the truth. Like it or not”.

Alin came up with a harsh criticism: “Why should you find yourself right now crucifying Christ once more, a man who changed the world, whose teachings (if you know them, but I don’t really believe) do nothing but make you a man, of why don’t you let us each believe in what we want, why do I have to believe in an evolution that doesn’t help me and doesn’t give me answers (…) So even though it’s too early, for those who want to believe. Christ is Risen! For the rest: go to work, you have nothing to celebrate!
