Nine counties in Romania, plus Bucharest, are under a code yellow weather warning for severe weather in the next few hours. In three other counties, a yellow code warning for thunderstorms was issued.

The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) announces storms and rain until tonight at 19.00, in the counties of Teleorman, Constanța, Călăraşi, Ialomița Brăila, Buzău, Prahova, Ilfov, Giurgiu.

At the same time, a Code Yellow weather warning for thunderstorms is valid in three counties in the west of the country until 17.00. More precisely in Arad, in two localities Petriș, Săvârșin, in Bihor county, in 6 localities Căbești, Dobrești, Holod, Pomezeu, Răbăgani, Sâmbăta and in Hunedoara county, in four localities Burjuc, Gurasada, Vorța, Zam. Electric shocks are also warned here.

“In Muntenia, also in Dobrogea and even in the Capital, the wind could blow at a speed of 50-55 km/h. In general, the gusts will reach 60-65 km/h.

The wind will be felt in small areas and in the rest of the country at much lower speeds. Once the evening sets in, it will weaken in intensity. Temperatures will be pleasant between 5 and 12 degrees Celsius. Tomorrow will be quite a pleasant day.

Temperatures between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius. Tonight it is possible to rain in Oltenia, Muntenia and Banat”, said ANM meteorologist, Meda Andrei, live on Antena 3 CNN.
