The town hall is looking for a company to maintain and repair the 19 artesian wells in the municipality of Sibiu. She will also have to take care of the 30 street boots.

The Sibiu municipality launched a tender for contracting a company to deal with the artesian fountains and street cisterns in Sibiu. 19 artesian wells and 30 wells are located on the public domain. “The purpose of the purchase is to ensure the supervision and maintenance services, the repair and the proper functioning of the artesian wells and street boots, so that they serve the needs of the community and at the same time constitute an attraction for the citizens of the city and for tourists,” the notebook states of tasks.

Maintenance and repair activities of artesian wells must aim at the following:

• assembling the parts, where necessary, for commissioning;
• preparation, cleaning of the pool, the pump room and the assemblies necessary for commissioning;
• the current tracking of the mode of operation;
• washing, maintaining the external appearance of the pool, cleaning (suction) water from the pools;
• reconditioning the protective layer by painting the surfaces and parts exposed to the atmospheric environment or different chemical agents;
• ensuring the good working conditions of the artesian wells, periodic water treatment with solutions for regulating the PH, disinfectant and anti-algae;
• removing leaves and other debris from the water sheen;
• checking and repairing or replacing (if applicable) equipment, circuits, electrical installations, electrical devices (fuses, switches, sockets, electrical panels, relays, etc.);
• cleaning pumps and elements in the kinematic assembly;
• checking the technical condition of fixed assets;
• checking the quality and precision of the equipment used;
• examination of subassemblies and components in operation;
• examination of parts exposed to rapid wear;
• cleaning the water in the pools and changing the water;
• making the necessary adjustments (water jets, time relay, pressure, wind sensors,
• checking all joints, tightening removable joints, unclogging nozzles;
• emergency replacement of used parts in water installations that cannot be delayed (taps, fittings, gaskets, nozzles, etc.)
• repairing, reconditioning, manufacturing, replacing, mounting and/or adjusting parts, assemblies and subassemblies with frequent wear (valves, faucets, other water flow control devices, fittings, filters, siphons, flaps, gaskets, etc.);
• repair of work limitation, control, protection and safety devices;

The fountains in the city will operate from April to October, including weekends and national holidays. During the winter, they will still be maintained by the contracted company.

The estimated value of the contract is 218,487.40 lei without VAT. The duration of the contract is 12 months (7 months will ensure the operation of all objectives and 5 months will monitor the state of preservation in the cold season), starting from June 1.
