The Magistrates of the Constanța Court accepted the appeal made by Eugen Voineagu regarding the electoral appeal regarding his candidacy for Constanța City Hall and Constanța Local Council.
Brief solution: Admit the appeal declared by the appellant VOINEAGU EUGEN against the civil judgment pronounced on 02.05.2024 by the Constanța Court in file no. 13023/212/2024. Partially changes the appealed decision in the sense that: Cancels in its entirety Decision no. 18/01.05.2024 of the Constanţa Municipal Circumscription Electoral Office no. 1 and, consequently, admits the candidacy of the independent candidate Voineagu Eugen for the position of mayor of the Municipality of Constanţa. Annul in its entirety Decision no. 29/01.05.2024 of the Constanţa Municipal Circumscription Electoral Office no. 1 and, consequently, admits the candidacy for the position of local councilor of the Municipality of Constanţa of the independent candidate Voineagu Eugen. Maintain the other provisions of the appealed decision, insofar as they do not contradict the present decision. Definitive. This decision is communicated to the constituency electoral office that issued the contested decision, according to art. 54 para. 8 of Law no. 115/2015.
We remind you that, initially, the Constanța Municipal Circumscription Electoral Office no. 1 had rejected his candidacy on the grounds that the file was submitted after the deadline and time stipulated by the Electoral Law. More precisely, Voineagu was about 10 minutes late compared to the time established by law.
