A 30-year-old young man from Bihor County appealed to the online community to help him find his family who abandoned him at an orphanage in Oradea.

Bobi Covaci asked for help through a message posted on the Facebook page “The never forgotten Romanian children – Copiii noida uitati ai României”, created especially for abandoned or adopted children who are trying to find their families.

According to the post, the young man was born on March 24, 1994 in Drăgeşti commune, Bihor county.

He was then abandoned and ended up in an orphanage in Oradea, where he was adopted by a family.

“I’m here in search of my biological mother, whose name I know was Paulina Covaci. Unfortunately, although I don’t have much information, I would still like to know if I have any brothers or sisters,” he said.

He asked everyone who heard his story to share his message on Facebook in the hope that it will reach a member of his biological family.

Also, people who have information about the mother or her other relatives can write a private message on the same page on the social network.

As Bihor he also wrote, the page entitled “The never forgotten Romanian children – Copii noida utiati ai României” was created in January 2015 by Ileana Cunniffe Băiescu, a Romanian originally from Buzău county, who started looking for her adopted brother 26 years ago years.

Numerous people in similar situations turned to her to make their messages known. The concept is simple: the more their messages are distributed, the more the chances of the separated ones meeting again.
