The six-year-old child from Gorj who was allegedly sold in Germany was saved by the Romanian authorities. The boy will be brought to the country today, after a secretary of state personally went there to resolve the situation.

In order to bring the six-year-old child to Romania, a psychologist from DGASPC Gorj has already traveled to Munich to take the little one and accompany him back to the country.

The president of the National Authority for the Protection of Children’s Rights and Adoption also went to Munich to repatriate the child and to resolve this case with the representatives of the diplomatic mission and the German authorities.

The case of the six-year-old child came to the attention of the Adoption Authority when the authorities in Germany were notified, who requested the Minister of Justice regarding the situation of a Romanian minor, after finding that he was in the care of a foreign citizen.

More precisely, the German citizen wanted to enroll the boy in school, at which point it was determined that the adoption papers were missing.

In the country, the DIICOT prosecutors are conducting an investigation, and the other two brothers of the child, a boy aged two and a half years and an eight-year-old girl, were taken over by DGASPC Gorj.

“Colleagues from DGASCP Gorj have arrived in Germany. At the moment, the child has been taken over by the Romanian authorities. He is on his way to the Consulate General in Munich to finalize the last documents for the trip to the country and during this night he will arrive home in Romania.

I visited the brothers of the six-year-old child who are in the care of the Gorj social assistance and child protection system. With the arrival of the younger brother in the country, DGASPC tries to somehow put them together, to live. They will remain in the care of the state until the finalization of the process,” said Natalia Intotero, Minister of the Family.

The six-year-old child will be brought to Romania on Monday

“Considering the shocking case of the six-year-old boy from Gorj county, removed from the country with the consent of his parents, but under unclear circumstances and arrived in Germany, together with a foreign citizen, by virtue of transparency and the right of public opinion to correct information, The National Authority for the Protection of Children’s Rights and Adoption makes the following statements:

The six-year-old child will be brought to Romania on Monday, together with a psychologist and a team from the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Gorj, which went to Munich to take the minor and accompany him back to the country.

Also, in the context of the start of the administrative procedures for the minor’s repatriation, the president of the National Authority for the Protection of Children’s Rights and Adoption, Secretary of State Rareș-Petru Achiriloaie, urgently traveled to Munich to discuss the resolution of the case with the representatives of the diplomatic mission and the competent German authorities .

RAREȘ-PETU ACHIRILOAIE, PRESIDENT OF ANPDCA:

“The absolute priority at this time is to make sure that this child is okay, that he will receive all the support and help from our specialists to overcome this obvious trauma that he has been through. We trust that the investigative bodies will solve this as soon as possible case, in which the facts seem to be downright horrifying and we trust that those who are guilty will answer in court. who we collaborated on this case, managing together to ensure that this child is safe, with the full cooperation of the German authorities.”

The case of the six-year-old child came to the attention of ANPDCA when the authorities in Germany were notified, who requested the Ministry of Justice to clarify the situation of a Romanian minor, after finding that he was in the care of a foreign citizen.

In Romania, the investigation in this case, in which there are suspicions of trafficking of minors, was taken over by DIICOT, as a result of a referral made by the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Gorj.

Also, the other two siblings of the boy – an 8-year-old girl and a 2-year-old and 8-month-old boy – were urgently taken over by DGASPC Gorj and are now in the care of a foster carer,” the National Authority said for the Protection of Child Rights and Adoption.
