More than 50 local horticultural producers are participating, today and tomorrow, in Iasi, in the first edition of the “Garden Fest” festival.
The rector of the local University of Life Sciences, Gerard Jităreanu, explained to us that, through the event, it is desired to have the first direct interaction between the teaching staff and students of the Faculty of Horticulture with local producers in the field and with citizens who wish to and arrange the gardens: “We have specialists within the university who are very dedicated to the field, they are very skilled. We also have students from the specializations that we have in this field, Landscape Architecture primarily, Horticulture, who are very excited about the fact that they will be able to participate as volunteers, present the achievements that we have and convince the public as it is important to know plants, flowers, take care of them, plant a tree, plant flowers and certainly create a pleasant and healthy living environment.”
The event takes place at the Stadium of the University of Life Sciences in Iasi.
For two days, various ornamental plants, seedlings, landscape maintenance equipment and materials are exhibited.
