The Prefect’s Institution – Arad County organizes, on Friday, May 10, in Avram Iancu Square in the municipality, a series of events on the occasion of Victory in Europe Day, European Union Day and Romania’s National Independence Day.
The event will start at 10:00 and will include the reception of the honor and the salute of the Battle Flag by the Prefect of Arad County, Toth Csaba, the singing of the National Anthem of Romania and the Anthem of the European Union, a religious service officiated by His Eminence Father Timotei Seviciu, Archbishop of Arad together with a council of priests from the Orthodox Archdiocese of Arad and the military priest of the Arad Garrison, followed by speeches regarding the significance of May 10.
Prefect Toth Csaba will read the message sent by the Government of Romania, after which wreaths and flowers will be laid at the monument in Avram Iancu Square.
