Also on Thursday, around 5 p.m., on DN1Y, outside the Oradea municipality, the police detected a 46-year-old man from Paleu in traffic, while he was driving a car at a speed of 169 km/h, recorded by radar, in the area with a speed limit of 90 km/h.
An hour later, also on DN1Y, the police detected a 25-year-old man from Oradea in traffic, while he was driving a car at a speed of 152 km/h, recorded by radar, in the area with a speed limit of 90 km/h.
“Drivers who exceeded the legal speed limits by 63 and 62 km/h, respectively, were penalized with 9-20 fine points and with the suspension of the right to drive vehicles on public roads for 90 days”, the carrier said spokesperson of IPJ Bihor, chief commissioner Alina Fărcuța.
No right to drive
The driver who exceeded the legal speed limit by 79 km/h was penalized with a fine of 9-20 points and with the suspension of the right to drive vehicles on public roads for 120 days, issuing a certificate without the right of circulation.
