After the torrential rain, a double rainbow could be admired yesterday in several areas of Prahova.
Several readers of Observatorulph.ro sent us images of the spectacular phenomenon. The rainbow was also captured at Cota 2000 in Sinaia, and the images were posted on the Sinaia Gondola page.
The rainbow appears when the sun is reflected by water droplets in the atmosphere. When the light is stronger, the second arc-shaped spectrum can be observed, but with the colors reversed.

On Tuesday, Prahova was under yellow code for torrential rains, hail and electrical discharges. The heavy rainfall did not remain without effects. A section of DN1, from Sinaia, was flooded, and traffic in the area was initially stopped, and then directed for several hours.
