On Thursday, the police officers of the Office for the Protection of Forest and Fish Funds within the Argeș Public Order Service completed the checks with
regarding the compliance with the conditions for the transport of wood material by several people.
“Following the detected violations, 5 contraventional sanctions were applied, in the total amount of 6,000 lei, at the same time, a quantity of wooden material was also confiscated.
Thus, after completing the checks, the police established that a 38-year-old man from Berevoești transported, on the basis of the same accompanying notice, with a van, the quantity of 2.96 cubic meters of wood material.
As a result of the detected violation, the man was penalized for contravention with a fine of 2,000 lei, and the measure was also applied
complementary value confiscation of the amount of 2.96 cubic meters of wooden material, with a value of approximately 800 lei.
Also, the police established from the checks that four men, namely a 37-year-old man from Nucșoara, a 53-year-old man from Mihăești, a 43-year-old man from Micești and a 29-year-old man, from Mioarele, they transported material
lemnos with a van, taking photos of the means of transport, which they loaded into the SUMAL 2.0 system, without being able to distinguish the transported load.
As a result of the detected violations, each of the four men was fined 1,000 lei each,” the press release from the IPJ Argeș states, stating that “the police will continue to carry out checks regarding compliance with the legal provisions in the field, to combat exploitation and illegal exploitation of
wood material”.
