I decided to run for the second term as president of the Timiș County Council primarily to complete the projects I started in the last four years, and they are not few at all. Are very determined to carry forward the liberal project in Timisoara and Timiș county. Unfortunately, the temporary heads of the PNL from Bucharest did not agree with my liberal vision and have preferred the socialist option, allowing themselves to be captured by the PSD-ists. I could not stand impassively at this blow to liberalism and decided to I join Ludovic Orban’s project with Forța Dreptei.
Timișoara and Timisul were and remain right-wing and are waiting for a change in the relationship with the country’s capital. The United Right Alliance meets exactly this expectation. For more than 30 years, Timișoara has been reaching out to Bucharest. We are practically at the hands of the mythical. In order to get what is rightfully ours, the time has come to change this way of doing politics and administration through decentralization and regionalization. Let them stand with their hand outstretched towards Timișoara. The best example is the stadium situation. The PSD-ists kept the papers blocked in Bucharest for more than two years to now come to the campaign and boast that they solved the problem. The stadium could be ready if the local authorities were left to do their job.
In the elections on June 9, the people of Timișoara will have to choose between the past, i.e. the Robu-Simonis couple, those who want to run the city and the county in communist style using tricks and influence peddling and the future, i.e. the Fritz-Nica tandem, the one that will modernize the entire region.
Together with Dominic Fritz and the other partners from the United Right, we will continue this fight against the baronization of Romania and I am sure that Timișoara will once again give the signal for the whole country. Change for the better will once again start from Timișoara.
