“Tectonics of the clouds”, premiere performance at the German Theater Timisoara | TIMPOLIS

The German State Theater in Timisoara announces the start of rehearsals for a new premiere: the show cloud tectonics, by José Rivera. The premiere, directed by László Bocsárdi, will take place on June 6. The performance marks a world premiere, being the world’s first staging in German of the play written by José Rivera.

Directing the show Cloud tectonics it belongs to him László Bocsárdithe sets are signed by József Barthathe suits – of Zsuzsanna Szőkeand the music belongs to him Magor Bocsárdi. Light design is made by Sandor Baumgartenthe makeup is al Bojiței Iliciand the dramaturgy is signed by Lucian Varshandan. The premiere will take place on June 6, from 7:30 p.m., in the German Theater Hall in Timisoara.

cloud tectonics, of Jose Rivera, is a captivating drama that tells the story of two strangers who meet by chance in a small village in the Andes. The story takes place in an isolated mountain village where Celestina, a young woman with a mysterious secret, moves to hide from her past. There he meets Aníbal, a lonely and withdrawn man who has lived in the village for years but feels alienated from the community. An inexplicable bond forms between them, fueled by their shared fascination with cloud tectonics; an ancient village legend says that clouds can transport and influence people’s memories. As they slowly open up to each other, Celestina and Aníbal discover they have more in common than they imagined. However, their relationship is put to the test when dark secrets from the past come to light. Cloud tectonics explores themes such as forgiveness, loss and the healing power of love.

László Bocsárdi is in his third show directed at the German Theater in Timisoara, the first two being misunderstanding (2019) and electrically (2021).
