dozens of clay houses were hidden by an artist. “I just wanted to tell you not to forget to be children, at least once in a while”

--

The artist Andrei Pandea has hidden 30 clay houses around Sibiu so that both children and adults will have a pleasant surprise if they choose to walk around the city on Easter day.

“Darlings, if you are around Sibiu, a little surprise awaits you.

I have always wanted to share with you not only my art, but also the joy of the connection that is born through it. With this in mind, I set out at the first hour of the morning on the streets of the center of Sibiu, on this great holiday, to hide gifts for you.

Several small houses are hidden in the grass, through tree trunks, cracks in houses or old walls and are waiting to be found and taken home to their loved ones.

I would have liked to leave you a note, but time did not allow me. I just wanted to tell you to remember to be kids, at least once in a while.

Happy holidays with your loved ones!”, the artist sent on his page Facebook.

Andrei Pandea was born in Bistrita, but for several years he settled in Sibiu where he owns a ceramics workshop.

He also gave a helping hand to those who will venture into “house hunting” and announced how many figurines are found in different parts of the city.

The artist stated that the idea of hiding the houses around the city came to him during a break in a larger project and that he would come back with other surprises of this kind.

“The idea just came to me. I had taken a break from modeling the “Choir of the Innocents” project and modeled a few dozen little houses. And I will continue to hide boxes, from time to time”, stated Andrei Pandea for Turnul Sfatului.
