The beloved performer of popular music from Gorj enjoys an impressive career on stage, but also a gorgeous family. Even if life was not always rosy, she always knew how to proceed and what to do to overcome obstacles more easily.
The artist was born into a large family and was happy that her sister, Marcela Fota, followed in her footsteps. Mariana Ionescu Căpitănescu took her on stage from the age of 13 and guided her in the steps she followed in her career.
She has a special relationship with all of her siblings, especially since being the eldest, she was the one who helped her mother and took care of their upbringing, watched their homework and contributed to their education.
Invited to WOWnews, she talked about the relationship she has with the other brothers and told how she gets along with Marcela Fota, but she didn’t forget the drama she experienced when one of their brothers died life, at only 34 years old.
“They listened to me and I’m glad that somehow I left my mark on them. I always made them learn. What can I say now, I’m happy that everyone has made a beautiful family, each of my brothers have children and we have the same beautiful relationship now, but for me that period was hard.
I didn’t really have a childhood and my mother tells me now: you were the most troubled, in the sense that I had to work more, take care of them. The youngest brother, Vasile, is 14 years younger than me and now calls me and asks for advice. I am happy about this and I also helped them as much as I could”, said Mariana Ionescu Căpitănescu.
