Three dead heads and a “Z” – the symbol of Russian intervention in Ukraine -, a “fresco” of dubious taste, were drawn by anonymous people on the walls of the French Embassy in the center of Moscow, reports Le Figaro, according to News.ro.

The images were broadcast by the Russian state news agency RIA Novosti. They intervene in the context of a strong deterioration of relations between France and Russia and following a new summons of the French ambassador Pierre Levy by the Russian authorities on April 12.

Videos of these symbols were also posted on the X social network.

This message of dissatisfaction, this time was transmitted unofficially through these graffiti on the walls of the embassy, which used to display photos celebrating French-Russian friendship.

The embassy declined to comment,

Two weeks ago, a caricature depicting French President Emmanuel Macron as a zealous servant of his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskiy was displayed near the French chancellery.

France is not the only one targeted because of its support for Ukraine. Diplomatic representations in Moscow of other countries declared “enemy” are regularly targeted with signs that lead to offense. They are under the supervision of the Russian police, which did not act.

The United States Embassy, located on a circular boulevard, was recently “decorated” with a giant “Z” placed in front of the building. The embassies of Sweden and Great Britain were also targeted.

The diplomats of the European Union (EU) Mission had the unpleasant surprise of seeing their photographs on the street in a montage in which they were holding a placard with the message “I hate Russia”.
