Almost 2,000 registrations of individuals and legal entities were registered in Cluj in the first three months of the year, down 7.8% compared to the same period last year, according to the Trade Registry data, cited by Agerpres and Economedia.

The number of registrations of natural and legal persons decreased in the first three months of 2024 by 6.78%, compared to the similar period of 2023, totaling 37,686 units, of which 73.48%, respectively 27,695, are limited liability companies (SRL ), informs Agerpres, citing data centralized by the National Trade Register Office (ONRC).

The most registrations were registered in the city of Bucharest, respectively 8,702 (plus 5.89%, compared to January-March 2023) and in the counties of Ilfov – 2,115 (minus 1.08%), Cluj – 1,947 (minus 7.81%) ), Timiş – 1,630 (minus 10.08%), Iasi – 1,554 (minus 5.59%) and Brasov – 1,360 (minus 12.99%).

At the opposite pole, the lowest number of registrations was recorded in the first quarter of 2024 in the counties of Covasna – 179 (down by 32.96% compared to the similar period in 2023), Tulcea – 237 (minus 13.5%), Ialomiţa – 258 (minus 1.53%) and Caraş-Severin – 268 (minus 12.99%).

According to ONRC, the fields in which the most registrations were made are: wholesale and retail trade; motor vehicle and motorcycle repair (7,273; minus 7.24%, compared to the first three months of 2023), transport and storage (4,674; plus 4.21%) and construction (3,715; minus 11.97%).

In March 2024, 12,577 natural and legal persons were registered, the most in Bucharest (2,968) and in the counties of Ilfov (721), Cluj (606), Timiş (584) and Iasi (538)
