The last weekend of April is full of events and interactive activities, in Sibiu. The Easter Fair opens on Friday, April 26, and also this weekend a series of workshops for children will be organized and the velo season kicks off with Urban Bike.
The arrival of the warm season is also noticeable at the event level, with each weekend becoming more and more “crowded” with interesting events for all ages.
The Easter Fair in Sibiu begins
The main attraction this weekend is the Easter Fair in Sibiu. The fair will be open from April 26 to May 7, in Piața Mare. The fair will be open daily between 11:00 and 21:00. Easter decorations, painted eggs, handmade jewelry, books and cards, toys, pottery, handmade macrame doll paintings and more will be available from the themed cabins.

Mega party, at Redal
Vali Vijelie, Georgiana Lobonț and DJ Roberto will create an incendiary atmosphere on Saturday, April 27, at Redal Expo. The party starts at 21:00, offering guests an unforgettable experience in a fairytale setting. There are two distinct zones for everyone’s comfort: the Gold zone, with tickets priced at 250 lei, and the Silver zone, at 150 lei per ticket.

Country fair, at the Astra Museum
The people of Sibiu are expected on Flower Sunday from 11:00 a.m., at the Country Fair, at the open-air Museum in Dumbrava Sibiului, where gastronomic workshops will be held, through which the recipes collected from the people of the Danube Delta will be put to good use, among the Morun storceac and the brine of carp. They will be able to be tasted starting at 1 pm until the portions run out.
Educational concert at the State Philharmonic in Sibiu
The little ones are invited to the educational concert at the Philharmonic “Mama mea gâsca”, Friday, April 26, at 10:00 and 11:00. Registrations are made at the phone number 0735566486, and tickets cost 10 lei.
Also on Friday, from 18:00, at the symphonic concert of the Sibiu State Philharmonic Orchestra, from the Muică Hall, Brukenthal National Museum. Tickets are available at the Brukenthal Museum box office. Places are limited.
New movies at CineGold
CineGold has prepared for this weekend a series of new films, which will appear on the big screens for the first time. “Nasty,” “Sting,” “Abigail,” “Lassie,” “Challengers,” “Buzz House: The Movie,” “Kids’ Government 2,” “Little Ping and the Dragon” and “Combat Wombat” are the latest films to be seen on Saturday and Sunday at CineGold.
Start of Sibiu cycle season
Sibiu citizens are invited to participate in the opening of the cycling season on Saturday, April 27, starting at 3:30 p.m., starting from Piața Mare.
Workshop of dyeing eggs in onion leaves
On Saturday, from 15:00, the Cultural Council organizes a workshop of dyeing eggs in onion leaves, with applied natural plant patterns. Ten pairs of children with their parents, who want to learn this technique and spend three beautiful hours in a pleasant environment are expected at the Cultural Village. Each team must bring the eggs and a contribution of 30 lei to support the activities of the Cultural District. Registrations are made at the phone number 0743006806.
Ballet Gala
During the Ballet Gala, on Saturday, from 19:00, moments from the most famous performances from the international classical repertoire, but also moments from neoclassical ballet and contemporary dance will be presented. Alongside the dancers of the Sibiu Ballet Theatre, soloists of the Bucharest National Opera will take the stage.
The Garden Festival
Also this weekend, the Garden Festival will take place between April 26-28, in the parking lot at Shopping City Sibiu.
