FCSB, the team financed by the landowner from Pipera, Gigi Becali, is very close to winning the football Super League, but, apparently, the owner has no plans to come to the stadium to celebrate with the players.

The awards ceremony, which Becali will miss, will probably take place during the match with CFR Cluj, in stage number nine of the SuperLigă play-off.

The real reason that makes Becali stay away from the stadium seems to be a ban received by the landowner. On April 1, Gigi Becali received a six-month suspension and a fine of 50,000 lei, in the context of the statements made to referee Cristina Trandafir, after the FCSB – FC Botoșani match, which ended with a score of 3-2.

Specifically, Becali violated several articles of the FRF Disciplinary Regulations, according to digisport.ro. Among them is Article 52, which deals with “offensive, defamatory behavior and statements affecting the image of football”.

During the suspension period, the landowner must comply with several prohibitions:

– does not have access to the playing field, in the tunnel, on the access corridors and to the changing rooms of the teams and the referees;

– he cannot sit on the reserve bench and lead the team inside the field of play, as stipulated in the regulation.

At most, during the match with CFR Cluj, the FCSB sponsor will only be able to sit in the stands and not be able to celebrate with his players on the field.

This year, the title of champion has every chance to reach FCSB after a long time. If it beats in the intermediate stage at Sepsi’s ground, and CSU Craiova fails to win against CFR Cluj, FCSB will mathematically be the champion.
