Gorjeni policemen are in mourning after the death of a former colleague. Cosmin Costoiu worked for years in a row at the Special Actions Service within the IPJ Gorj. He passed away at the age of 53. This was a model for all colleagues in what police work meant.
“Sad Easter holidays for those who knew Cosmin Costoiu, 53 years old, his generous heart stopped beating. An impressive career of a man who made police work an ideal served with rigor and devotion thus reaches the end of the last chapter.
May God rest him in peace!”, according to a message on social networks.
Those who wish to pay their last respects can do so starting today, May 4, at the Eden Chapel. The burial will take place on Tuesday, May 7, at 12:00 p.m. at the “Assumption of the Virgin Mary and Saints Brâncoveni” Military Church in Târgu Jiu, according to an announcement by the ex-policeman’s wife.

He is a graduate of the Faculty of Letters and Social Sciences and a master’s degree in Public Administration. In 2000, he started working as a journalist at Gazeta de Sud, and from the next day, articles under his signature began to appear in the newspaper.
