Ioan Varga brought Dan Petrescu back to Gruia only with the thought that CFR will return to the top of Romanian football this way. The title is the objective of the “Badger”, and he accepted, but also asked for conditions for the performance.

Thus, among the first things that Petrescu changed, upon his return, was the summer training camp. The team already had a program made, a hotel chosen, but the new and old coach put his foot in the door and asked for something else, according to digisport.ro sources.

Dan Petrescu set his sights on a five-star hotel, Falkensteiner (Austria), dedicated exclusively to adults, located 30 km from Linz and two hours by car from Munich. Basically, this hotel is on the border with the Czech Republic.

In order for everything to be as it should be, the people from CFR Cluj called on Demirel Muresan (43 years old), the only Romanian agent who already holds a FIFA license for matches.

100,000 euros for Petrescu’s camp

The coach preferred a small hotel, so as not to be disturbed by tourists, but which also had the highest training conditions. And Petrescu asked for something else. The chosen hotel is at an altitude of 750 meters.

The camp at Falkensteiner will take place from June 26 to July 7, 2024, and there will also be four training matches, which have not yet been determined.

The establishment chosen by Petrescu has three swimming pools, indoor, outdoor and cold water, as well as an area of ​​2500 square meters of spaces for running. In addition, each room has a bathroom with a bathtub and a shower cabin, a sauna, conditions that delighted “Bursuc”.

All these grievances of Petrescu will cost Varga 100,000 euros, and the Transylvanian delegation will number around 45 people.

In addition, the hotel also has two conference rooms. One will be used by the staff and the team, and one will be exclusively for the staff.

Four minutes’ walk from the hotel, a distance that can also be covered by bicycle, there is a sports base, and two fields will belong exclusively to CFR Cluj.
