As a result of this fact, admissions and surgical interventions are limited to emergency cases”, announced on Wednesday, the officials of the Târgu-Jiu County Hospital.

According to them, information and support addresses were sent to the medical units in Gorj county, as well as to those in the neighboring counties, so that, until the completion of these works, they would support the Târgu Jiu County Emergency Hospital in taking over the cases that the unit sanitary will no longer be able to take them over.

“In the evening of April 23, 2024, in the operating block of the General Surgery Department 1 on the 2nd floor, infiltrations occurred through the ceiling of the two operating rooms above which there are two terraces. The water that seeped through the ceiling did not affect the medical equipment in the operating rooms. We mention the fact that on April 23, 2024, the guard was provided by the doctors of the General Surgery Section 2, the surgical interventions being carried out in the operating rooms on the 3rd floor, related to this section”, the representatives of the hospital also conveyed, specifying that on the spot there are the intervention teams for the urgent remedy of the situation.

After the completion of the energy rehabilitation works, Surgery Sections 1 and General Surgery 2, the operating rooms related to the two sections will enter into a complex process of rehabilitation and modernization.
