A former deputy chief inspector of ITM Bihor was sent to court by DNA prosecutors after allegedly accepting bribes from several businessmen in order not to fine them.

According to a press release from the DNA, the prosecutors of the Oradea Territorial Service ordered the prosecution, under judicial control, of the defendant Racz Nadia Florentina, on the date of the facts, deputy chief inspector of
to the Territorial Labor Inspectorate (ITM) of Bihor, for committing bribery crimes and allowing unauthorized persons access to information that is not intended for publicity.

According to the indictment, between February 14, 2022 and October 17, 2023, in the context of carrying out checks at several companies, the defendant and three of his subordinates, as labor inspectors, acting in different teams, allegedly claimed and received, repeatedly rows, from several businessmen different amounts of money, between 2,000 lei and 4,000 lei.

The sums of money would have been claimed and received by the operation in order not to apply contraventional sanctions to businessmen, provided for by the Labor Code, for various detected irregularities, including illegal work.

On June 13, 2023, the defendant would have sent non-public information to some businessmen in the sense that she would have notified them about the fact that, on the same day, ITM employees would carry out several inspections in the field of construction.

The file was sent for trial to the Bihor Court.
