The most recent project won is the modernization of the roads in the north of the county, a project called by the president Iustin Cionca “We are rebuilding the roads in the north”. It is about the strategic project of the Arad County Council during the current financing period from European funds, carried out by the Regional Development Agency, and which involves the asphalting of approx. 70 km of roads:
The project will solve the modernization, more precisely, of 67,391 km of county road:
* 20 km from DJ 794, Mișca-Apateu-Berechiu section
* 14.429 km from DJ 709, the Șicula-Gurba-Cermei section
* 6,972 km from DJ 793, the Şepreuș-Cermei section
* 15,962 km from DJ 709, Cermei section-Bihor county border
* 10.028 km from DJ 793, Cermei-Vasile Goldiş section
From the funds of the County Council, work has already begun on a sixth section, Seleus-Şicula.
“You know that whenever I had the opportunity, I applied for projects with 2% co-financing, because they are the most profitable for the County Council. It is also a form of respect for the people of Arada, because we bring more European money to the county with a smaller contribution. We have carried out most of our projects with European funding, so that the money collected from the people of Arada can be used in other, one-off projects. From my point of view, this means, as I said, respect for the residents of the county, but also responsibility”, declared Iustin Cionca, the president of the Arad County Council.
The Arad County Council has 17 other such projects, co-financed with 2%:
-Modernization of the roads Arad – Pîncota, Sânpetru German – Timiş county border, Pîncota-Seleuș, Nădlac – Peregu Mare, Dorobanti – Macea, Pecica – Turnu.
-Rehabilitation of Buteni – Pîncota and Nădab-Seleuș county roads;
-Promotion of public policies at the level of Arad county (cultural strategy and energy strategy of the county);
-Implementation, certification of the quality management system according to the ISO 9001 standard at the County Council;
-Integrity through transparency (an anti-corruption project dedicated to County Council officials);
-Ensuring access to outpatient health services for the population of Arad County;:
-Improving the access of the population of Arad County to emergency medical services;
-Increasing the accessibility of medical services by equipping the specialized integrated Outpatient Clinic of the Arad County Emergency Clinical Hospital with high-performance equipment;
– Expansion of the Emergency Reception Unit within the County Emergency Clinical Hospital, stage II;
– Connecting communities to the TEN-T infrastructure in the Romanian-Hungarian border area;
– Renovation of the Great Union Hall;
-Cross-border network for improving response capacity and risk management in emergency situations;
– Prevention and monitoring of infectious diseases and intrahospital infections in Arad and Mako – project awarded last year by the General Assembly of the DKMT Euroregion;
– Support at the level of the West Development Region for the preparation of projects financed from the programming period 2021-2027 in the fields of urban mobility, urban regeneration, leisure centers / tourist bases (school camps), infrastructure and public tourism services, including heritage objectives with tourist potential and road infrastructure of county interest, including detours and/or connecting roads

It is no coincidence that we are among the first in the country to access European funds at the County Council level.
