The team of the Children’s Palace from Alba Iulia achieved notable results at the first stage of the “Little Pilot” School National Karting Competition.

The competition took place between April 27-28, in Bacău.

Crews from 25 children’s palaces and clubs in the country participated.

The Alba Iulia Children’s Palace was represented by three pilots.

The results of the karting team from Alba:

• Mihnea Ioan Roșu 5th place – Puffo category
• Paul Daniel Olariu – 6th place – Puffo category
• Alexandru Vasile Țârlea – 7th place – Cadett category.

In terms of teams, Palatul Copiilor Alba Iulia ranks 9th in the country. The young pilots are trained by Professor Nicodim Gabriel Ciușca.

The next stage of the national competition will be on June 1-2, in Bacău. In total, there are five stages, with locations in Bacău, Târgu Secuiesc and Prejmer (Brașov).

The competition is addressed to children and students who participate in the courses held in the country’s palaces and children’s clubs – karting circles and road education. It is organized by the Ministry of Education (through IȘJ Caraș-Severin and Palatul Copiilor Reșita), in partnership with ASC Banat Racing and the Romanian Karting Federation.
