Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu discussed, on Wednesday at the Victoria Palace, with his Hungarian counterpart Viktor Orban about the priorities of the future presidency of the EU Council of Hungary.
“Productive discussion in Bucharest with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban about the priorities of Hungary’s future EU Council presidency. Our governments have a common interest in the development of the East-West transport infrastructure”, Marcel Ciolacu wrote on Wednesday on the X network, formerly Twitter.
The presidency of the EU Council is held by Belgium from January 1, until the end of June, then Hungary will follow, between July and December 2024, and it will be taken over by Poland, between January and June 2025.
The Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban is in Bucharest to participate, on Wednesday evening at the Cotroceni Palace, in the consultations on the Strategic Agenda of the European Union, together with the Head of State Klaus Iohannis, the President of the European Council Charles Michel, the Prime Minister of Belgium Alexander De Croo and the Prime Minister the Minister of the Republic of Croatia Andrej Plenković.
