Strange moments in a cemetery in Suceava county, Romania, where the police were notified that a man had dug up a friend who had recently died because he dreamed he was alive.

Thus, on the morning of April 2, the police from the Ipotești rural section were notified by a priest from the Verești commune that a grave in the local cemetery had been desecrated, reports Stiri.md with reference to digi24.ro.

In turn, the priest had been alarmed by the deceased’s family to find the grave dug and the coffin lid open.

The police solved the mystery in a short time. They identified a 45-year-old man from a neighboring town, who immediately admitted his crime.

He told the police that he is a sympathizer of the “Army of God” cult, just like the deceased, and on March 28 he was at the funeral and that the following night he dreamed of “brother Viorel”.

He interpreted the dream, concluding that the deceased had risen, and went to dig him up.

So he went to the cemetery in the middle of the night and started digging until he reached the coffin and opened the lid. But he didn’t stop there and announced to the family members that “Viorel has resurrected”.

The 45-year-old man was taken by the police to the Department of Psychiatry, to be examined, and they filed a criminal case for desecration of corpses or graves.
