The Gorj Gendarmerie County Inspectorate will have its own church, near the headquarters in Târgu-Jiu. On Wednesday, on the occasion of the Day of the Romanian Gendarmerie, the foundation stone was laid and a council of priests held a service.
Also on the occasion of the Day of the Romanian Gendarmerie, the promotion to the next rank took place before the expiration of the minimum internship in the rank for 2 officers, 1 military foreman and 20 non-commissioned officers, who distinguished themselves by the exemplary performance of their duties.
“Tudor Vladimirescu County Gendarmerie Inspectorate” Gorj organized at the headquarters of the unit, on the occasion of Romanian Gendarmerie Day, April 3, the tribute activity to promote the traditions of the Army. Also, this year, we celebrate 130 years of documentary attestation of the Romanian Gendarmerie in Gorj county. In a festive setting, the anniversary messages sent on this occasion were presented and the promotion to the next grade took place before the expiration of the minimum period of service in the grade for 2 officers, 1 military foreman and 20 non-commissioned officers, who stood out for their exemplary performance of their duties service. We congratulate them for their professionalism and dedication and wish them success in their military careers. At the same time, the religious service took place on the occasion of the consecration of the foundation stone for the church of the inspectorate. Along with the Gorje gendarmes on this festive day were veterans of the unit, heads of structures from the National Defense System, public order and national security from Gorj County and priests from the Oltenia Metropolis.
