Nurseries and kindergartens in Olt county, checked by labor inspectors. Irregularities were found and two warnings were given

The employees of the Olt Territorial Labor Inspectorate carried out new controls in the county during the past week, this time as part of a national campaign to verify the way in which the legal provisions regarding the conclusion and execution of individual employment contracts are respected by employers who carry out activities in the fields “Preschool education” and “Daily care activities for children”. Thus, between March 25 and 29, 2024, labor inspectors carried out ten checks at nurseries and kindergartens in the county, and as a result of these checks, irregularities were found, and two warnings were given.

“During the campaign, the labor inspectors from the Olt Territorial Labor Inspectorate carried out ten controls, following which nine measures were ordered to remedy the identified deficiencies and two warnings were applied for non-compliance with the provisions of Government Decision 905 of 2017 regarding the general register of record of employees. The most frequent deficiencies found were the failure to transmit within the legal term the elements of the individual employment contract, no later than the day before the start of the activity of the employees in question; completing the general register of employees with erroneous data; non-compliance with the legal provisions regarding the record of working time and subjecting this record to the control of labor inspectors; non-distribution of the work schedule for part-time employees; incomplete internal regulation”, said Bogdan Țucă, spokesperson of ITM Olt.

The objectives pursued by the Olten labor inspectors during the campaign were the identification and verification of economic agents active in the mentioned fields; elimination of non-conformities found by ordering mandatory measures to remedy them and applying the appropriate contraventional sanctions; increasing the level of awareness of employers and workers regarding the need to comply with legal provisions in the field of labor relations.
