The General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Cluj continues the free screening campaign dedicated to the early identification of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Thus, during the entire month of April, from Monday to Thursday, between 12:00 and 14:00, parents who notice certain signs specific to autism are expected at the headquarters of the Cluj County Community Center located on Albert Einstein Street, at number 14.

During the information and awareness sessions, the therapists of the Recovery Day Center for children with autism within DGASPC Cluj will provide parents with specialized information regarding children’s development and the symptoms associated with autism spectrum disorder. Also, for those parents who come accompanied by their children, specific screening activities will be carried out, for the early detection of the changes they encounter in their psycho-social development.

Regarding the screening session organized on Tuesday, April 2, 15 parents participated in the three hours dedicated to the activity, and in the case of two children, high scores were recorded in the assessment. They were redirected to a doctor specialized in pediatric psychiatry, for a complex evaluation.
