The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) issued the weather forecast for the month of April. The weather will be unusually warm throughout the country in the first part of the month, but the weather is expected to change for Easter.
Weather forecast for the coming days. ANM announces wind code yellow until tonight
“Until tomorrow morning we are talking about a Code Yellow weather warning targeting the western half of the country, where the intensifications will have gust speeds of over 55-65km/h, and from tomorrow morning from 8:00 a.m. until Tuesday evening at 22:00 almost the whole country will be under a Code Yellow weather warning, and until 18:00 Code Orange.
Here we are talking about the Orange Code for the counties in the northwestern part of the country, but also the southeastern part, where we expect gusts of 80-85km/h, and in the mountains speeds can exceed 120km/h.
Tomorrow, in the intra-Carpathian regions, temperatures will drop significantly, there will be differences of more than 10°C, we will not reach 14°C-15°C at the most. Only in the south-eastern part will we again talk about values of almost 26°C.
But from Wednesday the temperatures will drop in these areas as well, so that throughout the country we will have values between 10°C and at most 22°C-24°C and these differences will remain of interest until the end of this week,” said Elena Mateescu, director of ANM, at Antena 3.

Temperatures will register higher values than usual for this period, throughout Romania. With the exception of the northwestern regions, where the amounts of precipitation will generally be close to the norm, a pluviometric deficit will be recorded in the rest of the country, especially in the southwest of the territory.

Weather forecast for May 1 and Easter
According to the statements of the head of ANM, Elena Mateescu, the May 1 mini-holiday that will overlap with the Easter holidays will be an excellent opportunity for rest. However, Mateescu warned that at the beginning of May the weather could be unfavorable.
“Statistically, the period from the beginning of May is quite capricious. We are expecting changeable weather, which usually happens at the beginning of May. In particular, it is about rain in the coastal area. Also, it will be colder than in other areas due to the influence of the sea”, said the head of ANM, on the television channel Antena 3 CNN.
