After the case of Andrea, the student killed with multiple stab wounds in Timișoara, another 37-year-old woman was killed, also by stabbing, in the middle of the street by her husband. The tragedy occurred out of jealousy, and the man stabbed his wife, who later died in hospital. The man, also aged 37, was detained for 24 hours, for qualified murder.

A 37-year-old woman lost her life after being stabbed in cold blood by her husband in the middle of the street. The wife was with her mother, and the incident happened in Drăgăneşti – Olt. Because of jealousy, the man stabbed his partner several times, who eventually died at the hospital, according to observernews.ro.

A 37-year-old woman from Olt, killed in the middle of the street by her husband, out of jealousy

The 37-year-old man stabbed his wife several times in the abdomen. The woman was urgently transported to the Slatina County Emergency Hospital after the attack, but unfortunately, the medical staff could not do anything to save the woman’s life, who died.

“Drăgăneşti-Olt police officers went to the scene. From the first checks, the police established the fact that a 37-year-old man from the Sprâncenata commune, while he was on Căpitan Dragănescu street, from the town of Dragăneşti-Olt, against the backdrop of an intra-family conflict, allegedly applied his 37-year-old wife, several blows with a sharp-cutting object in the thoraco-pectoral area’, the IPJ Olt representatives sent.

The man was detained by the authorities for 24 hours

Immediately after the incident, the man ran away, being later caught by the police. He was found on Livezilor Street in the town of Drăgăneşti-Olt. He was then questioned for five hours, being detained this morning. He admitted his deed, reasoning that he was jealous of his wife.

The prosecutor of the case, from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Olt Court, ordered the detention for 24 hours, under the aspect of committing the crime of qualified murder. The man was taken to the Detention and Preventive Arrest Center of the Olt County Police Inspectorate. It is now to be presented to the Olt Court, with legal proposals.
