The handball players from LPS Alba Iulia, satisfactory behavior at the Junior Euroregion IV, in the conditions where lack of experience mattered

The men’s handball team of the Alba Iulia High School with Sports Program had a satisfactory performance at the tournament in Făgăraş, group 7, Euroregion phase, for IV juniors. The formation from Cetatea Marii Uniri ranked 5th among the 10 participants, at the start being CSȘ Reghin, Sporting Ghimbav, Szejke Odorheiu Secuiesc, CSM Făgăraș, CSȘ Sibiu, Avatar Brașov, CSȘ Sighisoara, CSȘ Făgăraș and CSM Sfântu Gheorghe. The result is worth appreciating in the conditions where there was a gap in experience, the activity in this age group being one year for the Albaiuli handball players compared to the other participants, who have 2-3 years of training.

“Congratulations to students and parents for their work, involvement and seriousness. The additional experience of the other teams mattered, as we are just starting out, with children who have been working for 6 months, a maximum of a year“, said coach Cosmin Opruța.

At the 2011/2012 age group tournament, the participants were divided into two groups. LPS Alba Iulia held 4 meetings, collecting two wins and two draws, as follows: 17-26 with CSȘ Făgăraș, 27-24 with CSȘ Sf. Gheorghe, 23-33 with Avatar Brașov and 23-20 with CSț Sighisoara.
