The 106th anniversary of the signing of the Act of Union of Bessarabia with the Kingdom of Romania, on March 27, 2024, was an occasion for the “Luceafărul Răutului” Public Association, from Gura Camencii commune, Florești district, Republic of Moldova, to organize in partnership with the Romanian Secondary School – Britannica from the municipality of Galaţi and the “Regina Maria” Cult of Heroes National Association – Galați County Branch, cultural-historical activities under the aegis of “Bessarabia, a holy icon carried in the hearts of Romanians”, the second edition of the event. The students outlined the lively spirit of the activity, demonstrating through the recitals of poems born from the fervent love for everything Romanian, through the songs that promote the awareness of the unity of the Romanian cultural space and through the role-playing games, the love of the nation and the homeland.

“The union of Bessarabia with Romania represents the first fact of great historical and identity significance for Bessarabian Romanians, the first signal of the events that created Great Romania. The day of March 27, 1918 is one of the most important in the history of the Romanian people. It is our obligation, the which today we answer to the Romanians, to demonstrate that we value Romanian values ​​for centuries and those who have left us a legacy”, said Prof. Liliana Tcaciuc, from the Romanian-British School, the organizer of the event.
