SPORT A team of girls from Iasi is fighting for the title of national champion – Ziarul de Iasi

The path of the children from Iași included only one “mistake” so far. In the first phase of the championship, HV ranked first after four tournaments in which they did not lose a single set. In the second phase of the competition, held in Iași, the team coached by Oana Pralea and Cătălin Știrbu qualified for the next stage after two 3-0 victories and a 1-3 defeat.

In the penultimate act of the championship, the outgoing team prevailed in Bucharest with 3-0 in all three matches played, the opponents being Dinamo Bucharest, Kids Tâmpa Brașov and CSS 5 Bucharest. The venue for the final tournament, which will bring together eight of the 77 teams entered in the competition, will be designated later by the Romanian Volleyball Federation.

The other clubs that will fight for medals are CSM Bucharest, CSM Constanța, ACS Champions Sibiu, CS Muscel, CSV Craiova, ASC Juvenil NT Brașov and CSS Blaj.

The HV batch consists of Mara Achihăiței, Ilinca Tiba, Alisa Brumă, Delia Roman, Ana Rusu, Alessia David, Maria Hapău, Miruna Ionescu, Ioana Surdu, Daria Dașchievici and Antonia Balint. The first six were also part of the HV under-17 team that qualified and participated in the semi-final tournament in the ELITĂ group, held in Blaj. Thus, the exits were nationally among the first 16 clubs out of the 48 registered in the championship.

Supported by BCR, Focus Event and Shatter, but especially by the parents of the athletes, HV Junior has five volleyball teams. Three are performance, at U17, U15 and U13, and two (U17 and U13) are beginners. If the initial V in the club’s title, from volleyball, is active, the other, H, from handball, wants to be put on the wallpaper in the future.
