Monthly, the residents of Bistrita shell out around 250 lei for a residential parking space rented from the municipality. In the case of bidding, the rental price for a parking space reaches 7-8 times higher.

The lack of parking spaces, including residences, makes the auctions organized for their rental become real battles. This is how some ended up paying 1,800 lei for a parking space “won” at the auction.

This is the most expensive parking space and is located, according to the information provided by Bistrita City Hall, in the area of Locotenent Călin Street. It seems that another resident of Bistri was willing to take 3,200 lei out of his pocket, but changed his mind and didn’t make it to the cashier, so the parking space will be auctioned again.

At the last meeting of the Local Council, the vice-mayor Sorin Hangan specified the fact that in the Constantin Roman Vivu area, for some time the price for a parking space has not really fallen below 800 lei/year.

It seems that the fight is only in certain areas of the city. In February, the Local Police made it known that the people of Bistri were not interested in 390 parking spaces auctioned in the municipality.
