A serious accident occurred today, in the area of the Călimănești dam.
A lorry left the scene and ended up directly in the Olt river.

Fortunately, the driver was not injured.
The Vâlceni traffic police intervened on the National Road 7 CC at a road event, resulting in material damage.

“From the first checks carried out, it was established that on the National Road 7 CC, in the Călimănești locality, for reasons to be determined following the investigations, the driver of a road train, a 54-year-old man from Alba county, allegedly lost control of the direction of travel leaving the carriageway, being designed in the Olt river, near the Călimănești dam”, say IPJ Vâlcea representatives, according to oradesibiu.ro.
The incident only resulted in serious material damage.
The police tested the driver with the breathalyzer, but the result was negative.
In this case, investigations are being carried out to establish the causes and circumstances of the road accident.
