Antena 3 CNN broadcast the images of the devastating impact between a BMW, the fence and the bank of earth guarding the road connecting Mangalia to Vama Veche.
The footage shows the BMW speeding backwards towards the point of impact after skidding on the water-covered road.
After the impact, the car flips on its side.
A few seconds later, another black car arrives in the area of the accident, whose driver stops to see what happened to the occupants of the first vehicle.
“Unfortunately, the police say, this is what happens when you don’t adjust your speed to the traffic conditions. And that’s because, since the morning, in Constanța county, including Mangalia, it has been raining torrentially.
It can be seen on the images how the roadway was wet at the moment the driver lost control of the direction of travel and his car hit the embankment on which the Mangalia shipyard fence is located.
Upon impact, the car turned into a heap of contorted beasts.

The passenger on the right remained incarcerated. The driver was thrown out of the car, where he was found by rescuers from SMURD and the County Ambulance Service.
The two injured were picked up and transported to the hospital. On the way, however, the driver went into cardiorespiratory arrest. The rescuers tried the resuscitation maneuvers, but unfortunately to no avail. The deceased is a 27-year-old man.
The passenger on the driver’s right seat suffered, in turn, extremely serious injuries and was transported to Mangalia, being later transferred to Constanța County Hospital, where he is struggling between life and death, and the doctors are extremely reserved in what about his chances of survival.
The police are now investigating this case for culpable homicide and culpable bodily harm,” reported Antena 3 CNN correspondent Cătălina Buzoianu.
