The Magistrates of the Constanţa Court of Appeal are judging, on Tuesday, the request of the prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Mangalia Court to relocate the trial in which Vlad Pascu, the drugged driver who last year fatally injured two young people and injured three others, is on trial in the town of 2 Mai. The prosecutors’ request was registered at the Court of Appeal on March 19.
At the March 14 term of the trial in which Vlad Pascu is on trial, he admitted, in front of the Mangalia Court, the facts of which he is accused by the prosecutors, thus having the opportunity to benefit from the reduction of the sentence.
Pascu was not brought to the courtroom, he participated in the meeting through the online system.
One of the lawyers of the bereaved families submitted a request to change the legal classification of the deed, from manslaughter to qualified murder.
At the same time, the parents of the two deceased young people requested the recusal of the judge dealing with this case, a request that was rejected.
The Mangalia court set a new court date for April 4, at 10:00 a.m.
