Cristoiu shows that the entry of Cozmin Gușă would dynamize the campaign, and for AUR it would be an extraordinary boost throughout the country, considering that all the mass media are focusing on the elections in Bucharest.

We have Cristian Popescu Piedone, who is also on his own, he is almost independent, although Dan Voiculescu’s party is behind him. And the PSD-PNL coalition has Mr. Cătălin Cîrstoiu. The United Right Alliance supports Nicușor Dan.
Missing from the description so far is a big party, which is the GOLD. AUR has designated someone as a candidate. For now, I have to tell you that these candidates are established in the pre-campaign, they have not registered, they have to collect signatures, but any of them, including Cătălin Cîrstoiu, can be withdrawn. But anyway AUR has a problem. In Bucharest, it is clear that either you have a party machine, as is the case with Mr. Cîrstoiu, that is, the candidate has no personality, but he has a machine behind him, or the candidate has a personality, as is the case with Nicușor Dan and Cristian Popescu Piedone, and not it matters who supports him. It was said at one point that the AUR would negotiate with Cristian Popescu Piedone to be a candidate. I repeat, nothing that is now is fixed. Cristian Popescu Piedone can become the GOLD candidate. We can talk about candidates when they sign up for APEC. Until then, any move is possible. It is clear that AUR needs a good candidate.
Cozmin Gușa overturns the calculations at the Capital City Hall
I watched the soap opera Cozmin Gușa, I say soap opera because George Simion said in a show on Realitatea that he takes Cozmin Gușa, since then Cozmin Gușa publishes editorials or comments in which he says that surveys must first be done, to see if he would be a good candidate. I don’t know if Cozmin Gușa will win the elections, but it would be a huge boost for AUR. The AUR currently lacks a candidate in Bucharest, because it is clear that everyone will be paying attention to Bucharest, all the press machines are focused on Bucharest, the PSD-PNL televisions will be forced to broadcast not only about Cîrstoiu, but also about the others, and if Cozmin Gușa or someone like him entered, then it would attract the press and there would be a lot of discussion about AUR. I repeat, if AUR does not put a candidate of Cozmin Gușa’s stature as a star, it loses a lot not only in the local but also in the European Parliament. Now it is clear that a star would pull GOLD up.
I know that Cozmin Gușa has many opponents. He is, from the point of view of politics, as a political analyst, a star, he is a media patron, he has a lot of experience, he knows a lot of people, he knows journalism, I think he would do well in televised confrontations, he could do even more much more than Cîrstoiu when it comes to press events. So, I repeat, I do not guarantee that Cozmin Gușă would win the elections, but on the one hand, AUR would resolve its presence in the electoral campaign through him (let’s not forget that by June 9, almost only Bucharest will be discussed on television, and about candidates).
The party that does not have a strong candidate, I mean the PSD, allies itself with the PNL and raises the party, but there is also a big problem, because the PESEDists and the Penelists are still not convinced by the doctor. But if it were Cozmin Gușa for AUR, on the one hand, he would fulfill 3 important conditions: he would fold on AUR (Cozmin Gușa, a candidate from PSD-PNL, would not go, because the party would strangle him. He being a star, he can pull AUR up), he is a man with great political and journalistic experience and his doctrine as a journalist, as a publicist so far is the sovereignist doctrine, so he would even coincide with AUR. So there would be a symbiosis. I repeat, I do not guarantee, I do not know if Cozmin Gușă will be the AUR candidate, I do not know if he will win the elections in Bucharest, but he will succeed in two fundamental things: to get a good score for the AUR, but above all to keep the AUR in this campaign electoral, because, no matter how much we assume that the polls were manipulated, the AUR still starts to decrease.
