“General” Porr is standing behind “soldier” Fodor. Or how the FDGR abandons the County Council in the hands of the enemy and tries to regroup in disorder in the Sibiu City Council

Paul Jurgen Porr was asked in April 2022 if Gabriel Tischer will run for Sibiu City Hall.

“You should ask him if he would like (not to run) because it’s a bit early now, two years ahead. As a personal opinion, and I emphasize this, if we had to choose, the Forum would choose Gabi Tischer. But I repeat, the Forum has not decided anything, until we talk to Tischer, we cannot make assessments.

For Mrs. Fodor, the Forum is just a ballast, she makes decisions, she does everything, we find out from the newspaper, please, it’s not the first time. We are only good in the electoral campaign because it is difficult to run as an independent. But, again, I repeat, this is my personal opinion”.

The same Paul Jurgen Porr, was asked on May 5, 2022, by the reporter Ora de Sibiu, Roxana David, how he sees a possible candidacy of the architect Alexandru Găvozdea for the position of mayor of Sibiu. Another totally unjustified outing in relation to the Astrid Fodor question.

“Nothing is discussed inside the FDGR because Fodor does not even discuss with his own faction in the local council. Ask her, she used the FDGR as a ballast in the election campaign, otherwise it’s hard to enter as an independent. I was not discussed at all. Maybe Zeno Pinter (the leader of FDGR in CL and former president of FDGR) knows, but he told me that he doesn’t answer his phone either.

Mrs. Fodor knows them all, especially after I don’t know how many mandates, she is a born mayoress, she was born a mayoress. I don’t know who is running or would be good for it, yes she is no longer running. It’s enough for them, it’s enough for us too. In the last elections, it was her express desire to run again, and then it was embarrassing for FDGR to come with another candidate, it was embarrassing for everyone. But don’t write that, I don’t want a war with Mrs. Fodor, you can just say she’s not communicating,” said FDGR leader Paul Porr.

Two years later, last week, he said in the only press conference in which he appeared with Astrid Fodor after many years:

“I think that through the policy that (sic!) led the FDGR in 2000, it proved to be a citizen’s policy. And not a policy for the members of the Forum”. That’s all it took.

Porr, the leader of the FDGR, is now abandoning the fight in the local elections from the Sibiu County Council, where he was a councilor since 2008, and is running on the lists of the Forum from the Sibiu City Council.

General FDGR is now hiding behind soldier Fodor, whom 2 years ago he kept only in “bed-right-bed”, until he left all the functions in the organization led by him. Fodor is also now resigned from all leadership positions in the FDG, remaining a mere member. Behind her stands the national leader of the Forum.

Paul Kuttesch is the name that the same Porr designates to run for the presidency of the Sibiu County Council, where, if we are to go by his words, he pursued “a citizen’s policy”. Kuttesch, a sort of corporal used by General Porr to die on his behalf on land already ceded to the enemy. Politically, obviously.

We look into activity reports submitted by Paul Porr, according to the law, in each year of office. We stop at the last three of this legislature. Half a page, always copied from the previous year.

This year he deigned to mention in addition his involvement in the conflict between the management and the union of the Sibiu Philharmonic. An approach that did not lead to anything, but at least he had something extra to write.

This is what Paul Jurgen Porr, the leader of the FDGR, managed to produce in the County Council. Place from where he now gave beer with fugitives, for fear that he will no longer catch the same place from which to give an annual “pasture”.

Place from which he received 13,000 lei each year, for attending one plenary meeting and one committee meeting, every month, possibly online, according to wealth declarations from 2023 and 2022.

In 2019, he complained in the Council Tower that “I am not Dragnea”, in the sense that Astrid Fodor did not listen to him and did not rejuvenate the list from the Sibiu City Council. Now, however, Fodor listened to him and rejuvenated the list with him. At 73, many years to come.

Paul Porr in July 2019:

“The forum is a democratic organization, not only in name. I’m not Dragnea, let’s say the second from the left will be president or councilor or mayor. Four years ago, I suggested three young people for the municipality of Sibiu. These three young people were promising and if they were councilors for four years they could have gotten used to the city’s problems with the administration in principle, or these very capable young people were put in position 21, 27, 29. (…) Yes, there is differences of ideas (between FDGR and FDG Sibiu). I then argued for rejuvenation and the same councilors, who were there, voted practically in unison. The so-called rejuvenation was that someone 70 years old was removed and someone 82 years old was put in place. A new member was someone who had been retired for a year. With this rejuvenation I see no real chance in the future,” said Porr.

We learn from behind the scenes that Astrid Fodor was determined not to run for a new mandate.

Fodor in 2021:

“I will not run again. I have said this before. For this mandate, I wanted to run in order to complete the projects I started and to bring the large ones, which I initiated, to a stage closer to implementation. This is what I am focusing on until the end of the mandate, in 2024”, announced the mayor of Sibiu, following a request sent by the Council Tower.

Our sources say that the complete cooling of relations between Paul Porr and Astrid Fodor occurred at the time of the parliamentary elections. More precisely at that moment when, in a press conference organized at the PNL headquarters, Fodor officially announced that he supports the PNL candidates.

The ultimate irony is that Fodor is now the only man left in the Forum to fight the liberals. With Adrian Bibu’s team. And Paul Jurgen Porr benefits from this fight, the man who did everything to stop Fodor from running, up to a point, and then ask her on his knees for a new candidacy.

Why?

Because that’s all that’s left of FDGR since March 5, 2013 since Paul Jurgen Porr is at the helm.

2020 election:

19,903 votes for the list of FDGR councilors at the Sibiu County Council

71,457 votes – for the list of PNL councilors at the Sibiu County Council

17,954 votes for Gabriel Tischer, the FDGR candidate for the presidency of CJ Sibiu

72,757 votes for Daniela Cîmpean, the PNL candidate for the presidency of CJ Sibiu

20,425 votes for Astrid Fodor, FDGR candidate for Sibiu City Hall

14,773 votes for Adrian Bibu, PNL candidate for Sibiu City Hall

13,869 votes for the FDGR councilor list at the Sibiu City Council

16,135 votes for the list of PNL councilors at the Sibiu City Council

P.S

During this year I wrote that one of the Forum’s strategies provided that, at least one year before the end of the mandate, the deputy mayor Bokor had to resign, and in her place an FDGR councilor was to be brought in, who would be shown to the crowd as the organization’s future candidate for the Sibiu City Hall. It didn’t work, most likely because Bokor didn’t want to resign, and the Forum didn’t want a scandal. This can be seen now, when Bokor is nowhere to be seen.

The second option would have been, according to the same strategy, for Fodor to run, win, and leave office after one or two years, citing health problems. She really didn’t want to go on. And in her place another person should be promoted who will be prepared for a subsequent candidacy.

This last aspect infuriated Jurgen Porr to the core after he appeared in the Council Tower, showering me with a flood of words and accusations, somewhat similar to those used against Fodor.
