The weather is deteriorating in Cluj, from tonight, gales and wind intensification are expected, there is a yellow code of severe weather for half of the country.

Meteorologists issued this morning a code yellow warning of wind and storm intensification, valid from tonight at 8 p.m. until 8 a.m. In this interval, the National Meteorological Administration says, the wind will gradually intensify in Banat, Crișana, Oltenia , the western half of Transylvania and in Maramureș, with speeds of 55…65 km/h and in limited areas 70 km/h, and in the second part of the night it will look like a gale. At the same time, in the Western Carpathians and the Southern Carpathians, at high altitudes, gusts will exceed 110 km/h.

At the same time, during the day of Tuesday, April 2, the wind will have sustained intensifications throughout the country, with speeds of 65 km/h, and locally of 80 km/h. There will be storms in some places. In the high mountain area, gusts will exceed 110 km/h. Tomorrow Cluj is under an orange wind code. At the same time, in the high mountain area, generally at altitudes of over 1600 meters, mixed precipitation will be reported, and in the Apuseni Mountains and in the north of the Eastern Carpathians, water quantities of up to 20 l/m2 will accumulate.

The wind will have sustained intensifications in the counties of Satu Mare, Sălaj, Maramureș, Cluj, Alba, Bistrița-Năsăud, Suceava, Neamț and Botoșani, and especially in the afternoon in the counties of Teleorman, Giurgiu, Ilfov and the municipality of Bucharest, Călărași, Ialomița, Prahova, Buzău, Brăila and the continental area of ​​Constanța and Tulcea counties. There will be speeds in general of 80…85 km/h, and at high altitudes in mountainous areas, gusts will exceed 120 km/h.

Code orange warnings mean that the forecasted meteorological phenomena – strong wind, heavy rain, electrical discharges, hail, heavy snow, blizzard, extreme temperatures, poles, fog – will be dangerous, with a high degree of intensity.
